With this Tekonsha four-pole harness, this is gonna allow you to hook up to any trailer that's gonna have your running lights, turn signals, or brake lights. It also will work with any cargo carrier that's gonna have the same four-pole wiring as well. This harness is great because you're gonna be able to tuck this away when you need to just have it gone. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Hyundai Tucson and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT factory prep seven-pole kit. Now if your Hyundai Tucson is prepped to have trailer wiring connected up to it, this seven-pole is gonna be extremely easy to get installed. It's especially easy if you're doing it at home. There's a lot of different kits that are very difficult to get into place on certain vehicles, but as long as you have that factory connector, which is gonna be right up behind our bumper piece here, you look up there, ours was wrapped with blue tape so you can see it. But the factory connectors there, this kit's gonna plug right into it. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T-One Trailer Wiring Harness. And this is gonna be a custom fit for your 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Now custom fit means that it's gonna have a factory style plug that's going to tie into your factory tow package plug that you're gonna have underneath your vehicle. So it is important, double check underneath the driver's side there should be some blue electrical tape that goes to a plug with a dummy cover. If you have that, you're in luck. That's the factory tow package and it makes this a super easy installation. more

And this is gonna be a four-pole and that way you can hook up to your trailer or your lights on any accessory with your 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Now if you plan on pulling trailers, having four-pole wiring is a necessity because to operate the lights on the back of the trailer you're gonna need to plug into this, that way you get your running lights, your turn signals, and brake lights on the back of the trailer, keeping you safe and legal. Now luckily, this is a super easy one to do. You're just simply going to plug it in, zip tie up, and mount up your module. And really all that's left to do is use your plug. more

So, our trailer wiring harness is gonna be required when we're towing a trailer, because we need a way to transmit the signals from the vehicle to the trailer behind us, to let others out on the road, know what we're gonna be doing. It is required by law in every state. We can also utilize a trailer wiring harness, if we have any such sort of cargo carrier, or bike rack with integrated lights. A lot of these can actually block the vehicle's tail lights, which is illegal. Therefore, they have integrated lights, and we can utilize those with our trailer connector. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Hyundai Tucson- Video
Today on our 2017 Hyundai Tuscan, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha 00:00:04 T-one vehicle wiring harness, part number 118501. Now this is what we're going to get in the kit. You're going to get your power wire, full pull flat, your modular box that has your ground wire, your rubber grommet, this is going to be for your driver's side tail lights, this is going to be the connection for your passenger's side tail lights, this is going to be a fuse holder for your 10 amp fuse. First thing to start our installation, we're going to take out our driver's side tail light. We're going to take a screwdriver and we're just going to pop this cap. We're gaining access to these two bolts. Take a phillips-head screwdriver and we're just going to gently pull out. What we want to take off, this wiring harness right here. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Hyundai Tucson- Video
Today on our 2015 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with four pole flat trailer connector. Part number 118501. Here's what it looks like. The reason you'd want one of these, because with this system, with the module, it's going to isolate your vehicle lights from your trailer lights, and it's going to isolate any backfeeding 00:00:25 from your trailer into your vehicle. This system is designed to be stored away inside your hatch when not in use, with this little dust cover that's going to cover up the wiring. We would just close it up, it's out of sight. When you're ready to use it, you just take it out, set out the amount you're going to need, close your door back up. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Hyundai Tucson- Video
Today on our 2009 Hyundai Tucson, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Full Flat Connector, party number 118397. Next, we'll go ahead and show you how to use the new Four Full Connector. To use the Four Full Connector, we'll simply take it out from underneath the cargo cover and run it out and down to the hitch or accessory. Be careful to stay away from the latch as pinching the wire off in the latch can damage it, however the weather stripping is thick enough that it won't and we can simply close the cargo door on it. Then, once we're finished using our new Four Full Connector we'll simply roll it up and store it underneath the rear cargo lid. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the spare tire cargo cover, then the spare tire cargo trey. Next, we'll need to remove the rear threshold. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Hyundai Tuscon- Video
Today on our 2014 Hyundai Tucson, we'll be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 56101. First, we'll open up the rear hatch. Then, starting on the driver side, we'll remove the two fasteners that secure the tail light housing. Remove the fasteners and then we're going to go ahead and pop the tail light housing free. Be careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Now, we can disconnect the manufacturers wiring that goes into the back of the tail light assembly, removing the connector from the socket. To do that, we'll press on the locking tab, removing the connector. Then, we'll go ahead and set tail light assembly aside. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Hyundai Tucson- Video
Today on this 2012 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to install part number 118501 from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the back hatch, and then we need to remove the tail lights. There will be 2 screws that we have to remove for our tail lights. Once the screws are removed, we need to pull straight back on the tail light to release it from the body work. There's a small tab we have to push down, and then we can release it and pull it away. Then we'll go ahead and set the tail light away for now. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Hyundai Tucson- Video
Today on our 2010 Hyundai Tucson we'll be installing the tow-ready T1 four flat wiring connector, part number 118501. To begin with we will need to raise the rear hatch. Once we have that up we'll need to remove both of the tail light assemblies. To do this you'll need to remove two Philips head screws from each of the light assemblies. Once the two screws are out pull gently outward on the light assembly towards the back of the vehicle and it should release from its two other tabs that are behind the light. Once you have it out we'll go ahead and squeeze the wiring connector and pull it apart. Be careful when doing this so you don't break the locking tab. Now that we have both light assemblies disconnected we can set them aside for right now. more
